Playing Barbies with sis this weekend her girl said, "oh I can't eat that. I'm a veterinarian".

Amazing technology
Brother just now with my phone in his hand just officially entered teendom, "I love texting. It is amazing. It's like talking to friends but you can do other things too. Like eat. Or whatever. It's seriously the best. You can do anything!"
Sis, "like go to the bathroom?"
Bro, "No. Well you can do it one handed, so yeah. But still no. That would be weird. Other things. It's seriously the best. You can have whole conversations."

Caught not Jo
Sis just tried the above phrase to look up one of her favorite songs. You know, "Where did you come from where did go? Where did you come from caught not Jo?"

A pile of smiles
Just came across a pile of notes meant to be captured here long ago. Not sure how old some are but they made me smile:
Whenever the box of Nilla Wafers came out sis ran over with a "Please also?" and a hand up in the air.
About a hard rain, "It's like rainfrogs. The raindrops look like a million jumping frogs."
The expressions when learning to chatter:
Rebolting
Open Meal
Veg-uh-bowl
Point your toe-point
Ebentually
Alienance
And brother when he learned to sign a song: I can reach sign language.
After I spilled a glass of milk Brother remarked, "Yeah, that's tough but life keeps going."
Sharing some loose coins with Sis she responded, "No, I need some of the paper kind"
And when he was very little a conversation with Brother:
Mom: are dinosaurs cold or warm blooded?
Brother: let me tell you about those. All dinosaurs are reptiles so that would be cold blooded. I think?
Mom: and dogs?
Brother: I think warm.
Mom: how about parrots?
Brother: I think warm because it's warm when I touch it

Just plain
Sis said she'd just have her waffles plain, "Just syrup please. That's fine. Syrup, chocolate chips, and whipped cream."

Save the dog
The evening typically deteriorates into some version or sword fighting or wrestling. Tonight, particularly worried about our four foot friend, Sis declares, "Dad come get Dallas. We are going to be whacking, whacking, whacking, and we don't want her to get hurt."
All in vain
Trying to reward good behavior we suggested a reward system. After hearing our ideas for rewards, Brother simply stated, "No those are all things I can just sweet talk you into anyway." Sis just shrugged and said, "Yeah, he totally can." Parent motivation = fail.

The dancefloor
He was gonna show Sis how it was done but then Bro realized, "My sugar just wore off. I don't want to dance anymore"
